Among the historical testimonies of the territory stands out the Torre Vecchia of Capo Rizzuto, an ancient coastal watchtower built to monitor the coastline and defend it from raids coming from the sea.
In the surrounding area it is possible to visit Le Castella, famous for the suggestive Aragonese Castle overlooking the sea, or reach other sites of historical and naturalistic interest, such as the city of Crotone, the Valli Cupe Regional Nature Reserve, the enchanting medieval village of Santa Severina and the Sila National Park.
